Brand Intro
Lumen Labs is the first company to integrate artificial intelligence into smart lamps, offering a new level of intelligent lighting that adapts to your needs.
Project Description
The deliverables for this project were only the necessary assets when it comes to creating a visual identity.
The smart lighting market includes major players like Philips Hue and LIFX. This project’s focus was to make Lumen Labs stand out by offering a unique blend of artificial intelligence and innovative lighting solutions.
Logo Design
The logo represents the letters "L" from Lumen Labs, to form rays of light shining outward. This design choice ensures that the brand is instantly recognized as a lamp/light brand. Rounded corners on the rays give the logo a timeless and enduring feel.
Brand Colors
Lights are most noticeable in the dark, so I chose dark blue and grey shades for the background to create a sense of night. To break through this darkness, I used a soft yellow color, making the brand stand out like a lamp shining in the dark.
Brand Typography
One of the core values of Lumen Labs is a sense of futurism, which is why I chose Panchang as the primary font. Its wide, stretched shapes give the brand a forward-thinking, futuristic look, while still remaining timeless.
For the secondary font, I selected Nacelle, a highly readable typeface that pairs perfectly with Panchang to maintain balance and clarity.
